New independent directors for Walker and Greig

Walker and Greig Ltd, in keeping with the regulations of the New Companies Act, has decided to appoint two new independent directors to the company.The company in a statement said it plans to position itself as an investment holding company that will invest strategically in Sri Lanka and the South Asian Region.

The new directors are H.B. Dissanayake, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and Gamini Sarath Munasinghe, a retired career diplomat who served as High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in South Africa and Bangladesh.
