YWCA celebrates 125 years with concert

The Colombo YWCA which celebrates 125 years of service to the community will present a concert of music and song "Let there be Peace on Earth" on Saturday, November 10 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church, Kollupitiya. The concert will feature the Menaka Singers directed by Menaka de Fonseka Sahabandu with violinist Thushani Jayawardane as guest artiste.

The concert will consist of a varied programme including 'O Divine Redeemer' by Gounod, 'Adiemus, Flower Duet' from Lakme, 'Au fond du temple saint' from Pearl Fishers by Delibes, a work of Sarasate for violin, 'Le Voul Ballare' by Mozart and 'You Are My Heart's Delight'. Soloists for the evening will be Eriko Perera, Sarita Seneviratne, Laknath Seneviratne, Joanne Aloysius, Andrina de Mel, Shenali Peris, Jaliya Senanayake, Tahanee Aluwihare and Dushyanth Aluwihare.
