The opening ceremony will take place at BMICH, on November 11 at 2 p.m. It is organized by the Central Committee of Medicina Alternativa and The Open International University for Complementary Medicines.

Around 125 doctors from Vietnam, and 140 from China and Taiwan will participate at the discussions. Scientific papers related to the curative effects of Complementary Medicines and the positive factors of integrating many fields of medicine will be discussed. Interested parties are invited to participate in the scientific sessions which would be held on November 12 and 13.

For the past several years research has been conducted in South America to determine the effectiveness of integration of various modalities of medicines to determine curative advantages. The Central Committee of Medicina Alternativa and The Open International University for Complementary Medicines will evaluate the research that has been submitted to determine a nominee for the Nobel Award. The late Prof. Anton Jayasuriya had discussed this award with the Nobel Authorities in Sweden. It has been accepted that alternative medicines qualify for consideration for the selection committee.

Many medical specialists will be available for free consultation for patients at the Sir Anton Jayasuriya free Medical Clinic at 8, International Buddhist Centre Road, Colombo 6 from November 8-10.
