Ambassadors of beautiful living

Pursuing her schoolgirl dream of giving vent to her creativity in the field of interior design, Lakmini Suriyampola launched 'The Ambassadors', Kandy's pioneer interior design firm in 2004. Educated at Yasodhara Balika Vidyalaya, she went on to learn the finer points of interior design at the Swarna Obeysekera Institute of Design. The Ambassadors caters to the needs of firms and individuals islandwide, and will not only take charge of the initial design and completion of the project, but will also render services in the maintenance of the area afterwards.

"We handle the concept, design, floor plan and layout, colour schemes and types of material, supervision of the total project and landscaping, taking into consideration the individual requirements of clients and their budget," Ms. Suriyampola said.

The firm which has its office on Katugastota Road, prides itself on its versatility, and is equally adept at traditional or contemporary styles. Enthusiastic about every new project, Ms. Suriyampola believes in giving form to her creativity and that of her clients, regardless of the nature of the project undertaken. Be it the renovation or redesign of a new house or office, she and her innovative team devote their efforts to creating functional and appealing working and living spaces.

The Ambassadors also specializes in innovative, quick, economical and effective ways of window dressing. Their aim is to promote the art of living life beautifully. They also offer their services for various occasions, festivals and sales.
