Ultimatum in Town

Hollywood box office blocbuster "The Bourne Ultimatum" with the return of Matt Damon is now being screened at Majestic Cinema Colombo. Matt Damon is back as undercover agent Jason Bourne in a new espionage action-adventure based on the best-selling books by Robert Ludlum.

The Bourne Ultimatum is also the unquestioned U.S. box office champ, delivering record-setting numbers. The third in a series of spy thrillers took in $70.2 million last weekend, far surpassing the first two movies' takes and setting a record for August openings. Its 2004 predecessor The Bourne Supremacy earned $52.5 million in its opening weekend, while the series opener, 2002's The Bourne Identity, opened at $27.1 million.

Bourne is once again brought out of hiding, this time inadvertently by London-based reporter Simon Ross who is trying to unveil Operation BlackBriar--an upgrade to Project Treadstone--in a series of newspaper columns. Bourne (Damon) sets up a meeting with Ross (Considine) and realizes instantly they're being scanned. Information from the reporter stirs a new set of memories, and Bourne must finally, ultimately, uncover his dark past whilst dodging The Company's best efforts in trying to eradicate him.

Directed by Paul Greengrass the film is costarred by Julia Stiles, David Strathairn, Scott Glenn, Paddy Considine, Edgar Ramirez, Albert Finney and Joan Allen.
