PwC development assistance meeting in Colombo

International development specialists from the offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 35 countries meet in Colombo on October 22-23 to explore new ways in which they can help governments, NGOs and civil society organisations find new and sustainable solutions to some of the most intractable development problems facing developing and transitioning countries.

PwC said it believes that, as a global firm with a very strong local presence in some of the poorest countries of the World, its role goes far beyond than that of a simple service provider to donor agencies and their partner governments.

The company believes along with others with a similar global/local structure, PwC should act as true partners to the development community, helping to strengthen capacity in both government and donor agencies and NGOs and constituting the cement that hold the building blocks of sustainable development in place.
