Auwardt leads Bens to nine wicket win

A match bag of 8 for 50 by Auwardt saw St. Benedict’s score an easy nine wicket win over de Mazenod at Kotahena yesterday.
Bens who were not very impressive with the bat themselves making only 139 runs in their first turn managed to restrict the visitors to 95 and 89 in their two visits to the crease with Auwardt leading the ben’s pack.

Scores: De Mazenod 95 all out in 30.2 overs (Vineetha Padmalal 16, Shamal Danushka 17; Dilanka Auwardt 3/24, Dinushan Wanigasuriya 2/23, Chanaka Wijewardena 2/22, Surien Silva 2/04) and 22 for no loss overnight 89 all out in 38.1 overs (Andry Soysa 25; Dilanka Auwardt 5/26, Chanaka Wijewardena 2/20, Dilshan Perera 3/16)
