Sri Lanka's first ever 'Poultry Show 2007'

The World's Poultry Science Association Sri Lanka Branch (WPSA) together with the Ministry of Livestock Development Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC) is presenting the country's first ever 'Poultry Show 2007.'

The International Poultry Show and Conference will be held on October 22 and 23 October at the SLECC in Colombo and is expected to attract a large number of both Sri Lankan and foreign exhibitors with more than 100 stalls on display.

'Poultry Show 2007' is expected to create an excellent opportunity for worldwide manufacturers and service providers related to the poultry industry to display their latest technology, products and services to a captive market.

A number of stall holders from USA, UK, France, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria and India along with many locally renowned companies have already confirmed their participation.

A special Scientific Conference cum Seminar will also be conducted during the course of the exhibition on both days highlighting the recent advanced research findings and developments in Poultry Science wherein papers will be presented by renowned poultry scientists, both local and foreign. The sessions will be open to the poultry industry and general public. The poultry industry in Sri Lanka has shown a phenomenal growth during the past three decades compared to other livestock sub-sectors.
