PC Pharma to sell Square Pharma products in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s PC Pharma has entered into a strategic partnership with Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (SPL), a Bangladeshi drug manufacturing company that is ranked as the fifth in the world, according to WHO ratings.

Under this, PC Pharma will distribute and sell a wide range of new, high quality drugs, which are produced under stringent quality control measures, in state-of-the art SPL production facilities in Bangladesh.

S.H.M. Rishan - Chairman PC Pharma, commenting about the company’s recent development said, “Although PC Pharma is relatively new in the local pharmaceuticals market, we are very proud to state that we have managed to link up with Square which is considered as one of the best and largest pharmaceutical product manufacturers in the world.”

At present Square exports its products to 20 different countries including the EU and has a yearly turnover of US$ 101.90 million.

Square drugs will enter the Sri Lankan market during this month. PC Pharma would be initially concentrating on launching the Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Dermatological, Antibiotic product categories and special niche molecules of the Square range. Several other innovative products and healthcare concepts from SPL will be introduced in the near future.

PC Pharma is a subsidiary of the diversified PCH Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. that has ventured into other sectors such as hardware assembling, healthcare, office automation, consumer electronics, software, audio visual, restaurant, automobiles and property development.
