‘Wayamba’ to be next Tourist Paradise

The new website www.samanthakwasala.ekurunegala.com - "Wayamba to be next tourist paradise" is a new direction in Wayamba Tourism Development Programme in Sri Lanka. Veteran Hotelier, Member of Ceylon Hotel School Graduate Association, Chef Guilds of Sri Lanka and HCIMA (UK) Samantha K.Wasala has opened this website to further develop tourism in Wayamba (North Western Province).

Samantha K. Wasala describes the reasons for opening up this website as "the Government held the world Tourism day on 27th of October 2007 at an ancient Kingdom Yapahuwa which is situated in the north western province of the republic of Sri Lanka. At this Memorable occasion Hon. Athula Wijesinghe the Chief Minister of the North Western Province and the other distinguished guest repeatedly emphasized the importance and also the Government's intention to uplift Tourism in the Wayamba Province, where ancient Kingdom like Yapahuwa, Panduwasnuwara, Dambadeniya and Kurunegala are located. They further emphasized that these ancient cities too are equally important like the other kingdoms namely Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa.

This web-site has been opened up in order to provide assistance to make this worthy Endeavour a success and to take step to attarct more and more overseas tourists and the local tourists to the province, and to create problem free favorable environment for the tourists with all conveniences.
