The twenty ninth death anniversary of late actress and singer Rukmani Devi will be marked with unveiling of her statue and commemoration plaque on August 26, 2007 in Negombo.

The unveiling of the statue at the Negombo Municipal cemetery at 5 pm will be followed by a felicitation speech at Rukmani Devi Hall in Negombo and a musical show.

Gratien Ananda, Ravindra Randeniya, Upali Kannangara, Ronnie Leitch, H. R. Soyza and child singer Divya Sonali will perform at the musical show for which 'Seeduwa Sakura' back the music.
