Nanda brings songs from the silver screen

Veteran singer Nanda Malani

Veteran singer Nanda Malani's latest collection of songs ‘Etha Kandu Yaye’ in CD and cassette forms comprises playbacks and theme songs she sung for the silver screen.

The compact disc and the cassette with 16 songs she sang for the films from 'Ranmuthudoowa' to 'Uppalawanna' will be launched soon. Other songs in the CD are from 'Nivena Ginna', 'Vajira', 'Tharanga', 'Pem Raja Dehena', 'Sulanga' and 'Yahalu Yeheli'.

The lyrics for this collection of songs are by Sri Chandraratne Manawasinghe, Mahagama Sekara, Arisen Ajhubudu, Dharmasiri Gamage, Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne, Kularatne Ariyawansa, Sunil Sarath Perera Dr. Praneeth Abeysundara, and few others. The collection in the 'Ehta Kandu Yaye' are composed by Pandit Amaradeva, Shelton Premaratne, Sarath Dassanayake, Victor Ratnayake, Rohana Weerasinghe and Navaratne Gamage. The new music directions are by Rohana Weerasinghe.

Earlier Nanda Malani released a collection of film songs titled 'Ran Kenden Benda' and the cassette is released under the 'Gigiri' label.
