MAS Go Beyond - empowering women to achieve work-life balance

A certificate programme titled “Empowering Women with Emotional Intelligence” was recently organized for executives and higher management of MAS Corporate Solutions and MAS Active Operations Centre in Colombo.

It was facilitated by Ms Mihirini de Zoysa of Corporate Druids (Pvt) Ltd. The one day workshop focused on equipping women to effectively balance work and life, using emotional intelligence, effective communication, stress management and other techniques.

Ms Gowrie Ponniah, Programme Coordinator of the International Programme for the Elimination of Child Labour at the International Labour Organization (ILO) Colombo was the chief guest while former Miss Sri Lanka turned politician Rosy Senanayake spoke on “Balancing the Multiple Roles of a Woman” drawing on her expertise in promoting rights of women and adolescents in Sri Lanka and her first-hand experience in balancing the multiple roles of devoted mother and wife.
