Ane kaata kiyannada?

The parents who gathered at Rosmead Place to enter the Girls’ School which is situated there were in for a rude shock. The event was a netball tournament organized by the Sports Ministry of the Western Provincial Council.

When the parents tried to enter the premises of the school where the tournament was being held, they found out that they were shut out. The security guard manning the gate made one rude announcement “Parents are not allowed inside”. When the parents who had gathered at the spot from various parts of the Province protested, the organizers requested three parents to come in while the others stood out.

Once in side the parents tried to get the reason for the shut out and they were told that they would be disturbing proceedings through their cheering.

Then suddenly the security guards appeared once again and asked the parents to leave alleging that some high authority of the hosting school had complained that they would be making a huge noise and they can not be accommodated in side the premises as there was an examination going on. But, to their surprise a loud speaker was blaring out at high volume without a break.

However it was later found out that the reason for this year’s shut out is that when the tournament was last held there were some questionable things had taken place and the section of the parents had protested.
