Dhammika quits Pan Asia board for Sampath

Young business baron Dhammika Perera has quit Deputy Chairmanship at Pan Asia Bank in order to be appointed as director at Sampath Bank, sources said.

Perera, who owns 25 percent at Pan Asia Bank, will take up the position early next week. He received special approval recently from the Central Bank for 15 percent holding at Sampath Bank recently and has two percent more in the bank which is unregistered.The sources said Nimal Perera, a director at many Dhammika Perera-connected companies, is likely to be appointed to the vacant slot in the Pan Asia directorate.
