Residential seminar for administrative professionals

The main feature of this year’s seminar was the participation of overseas delegates from AAP branches in India, Dubai and Australia

The Academy for Administrative Professionals (AAP) recently held its third in a series of residential seminars titled ‘Managing Change – Succeed in the 21st Century’ at Amaya Lake, Dambulla.

Senior administrative professionals, managers, executive secretaries, personal assistants and executives in different fields took part.

The main feature of this year’s seminar was the participation of overseas delegates from AAP branches in India, Dubai and Australia.

The Indian delegation led by AAP Pune Co-ordinator Geeta Rao comprised 30 from Pune, Mumbai and Bagalore with a majority being administrative professionals working for blue chip Indian companies.

The panel of speakers included (Chief Guest) Prof. Nayani Melagoda, Prof. Carlo Fonseka, Hony. Academic Advisor of the Academy, Haleem Ghouse, Dr Sunil Jayantha Navaratne and Shanith Fernando.

The ‘Associate of the Year” award was presented to Sharon-La-Faber, Executive Secretary at John Keells Ltd, on proven Participatory Skills and General knowledge.
