‘Clarion’ for leisure and business

Hotel Clarion is the very first star class hotel to come across on A1 high way leaving Colombo. Though it is eleven years old, Hotel Clarion came to the limelight few years ago.This newly established three star hotel stands proud on the Colombo-Kandy main highway in Kiribathgoda, far from the hectic city, yet close to the conveniences the city of Colombo has to offer.

The hotel is centrally located just 30 kms drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport, 15 kms from Colombo, fifteen minutes drive from the Biyagama Free Trade zone and just 15 minutes from historical Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya. It is not a busy city hotel or a resort for holiday lovers, but comprehensively endowed for leisure and business.

Owned by Kelaniya Hotels Private Limited, Hotel Clarion has thirty one rooms out of which 25 are superior and six deluxe rooms. All rooms are delicately appointed and in perfect harmony with posh furnishings and fittings, design and style celebrating the natural beauty and romance of a new star Class Hotel, complemented by obliging personalized service.

All rooms are air conditioned with individual controllers and ceiling fans. Other features includes en-suite bathrooms equipped with bathtub, shower and hair dryer, hot and cold water, television with 24 hour TV channels including an in-house movie channel, IDD facilities, mini bar and complimentary use of tea and coffee.

'The most attractive feature of the hotel is food. The culinary service of the hotel attracts not only in house guests, but outside diners. Food festivals and other promotions are very popular among them' Ranjan said. The hotel has two main dining places- namely Tulips and Misty.

Tulips is a fine dining restaurant and Misty is a lounge area. The 'Tulips Restaurant' serves a wide array of Eastern and Continental cuisine prepared by Master Chefs, under the gudence of Executive Chef Jayalath Silva. This fine dining family restaurant is located just one floor above the hotel lobby and known for its elegant, relaxed atmosphere.

Misty Lounge Bar is a popular place for relaxed evenings and serves quick meals. Vibes pool parlour and bar, which is designed for young revellers. Hotel Clarion is a well known place for banquet and conferences. It has four banquet halls. The banquet facilities begin with the Serenade, a private dining room. The Topaz, Sapphire and Diamond banquet halls could cater 100, 500 and 250 guests respectively.

Stretch 'N Stride Ftness Centre is the other attraction, which is equipped with the latest, state of the art cardiovascular and strength training equipment. 'The fitness center's team of personal trainers will provide customized fitness programs to fit your needs. Hotel residents and Clarion Club members can enjoy complimentary use of his centre' said Nazeer Dawood, the General Manager of the hotel.
