GL visiting Austria on peace seminar

Export Promotion and International Trade Minister G.L. Peiris is flying to Austria and Germany today for a nine-day summer tour, during which he would attend a peace seminar.

His officials said the minister was participating in a six-day seminar starting on July 22, in Vienna, Austria on ‘Conflict resolution and peace building.’ They said he had been invited by the Institute of Integrative Conflict Transformation and Peace Building and is “expected” to address the seminar in addition to taking part in it.

Later he will visit Germany to hold discussions with several business leaders and Government officials, to promote investments. He will be in Germany till August 3.
