Tharaka Waduge cracks seasons first double ton

Ragama CC’s Tharaka Waduge cracked a swashbuckling 217 which was the first double ton of the ongoing Under 23 cricket tournament in the match played against Seeduwa/Raddoluwa CC played at the De Mazenod grounds in Kandana.

Ragama CC who won the toss and elected to bat made a huge 390 for 6 before declaring.

Seeduwa/Raddoluwa CC in reply were 21 for 1 at close. It took Waduge only 215 balls to reach this score which included 22 hits to the ropes and eight towering sixes. Together with Nonis who made an unbeaten 103 with seven boundaries and a six he put on a partnership of 203 runs for the fifth wicket. The match will be continued at 9.30 a.m. today.
