Where mara reigns

When the poor led to be poorer,
Poverty will prevail, and,
It leads to theft which is dearer,
Thuggery, jeopardy in hand,
Make them easy to bear arms,
That killers find so soft in palms,
Causing death of spiritual life
And the lying tends to be royal,
As the culprits move for strife,
Sneaking into hearts loyal,
Plant fear, doubt, torpor, craving, sloth,
Hypocrisy, greed, lust and wrath,
Haunting tranquillity of minds,
Create a sense of false glory,
Making so sweet of its kind;
Victims fall prey when its fiery.
When there is no holistic view,
Gained through cause and effect, the cue.
Administrators too look fools.
Rape and sexual misconduct,
Take place bending all legal tools,
Among top brass; kill or abduct.
These are mara’s sensual plights,
That go against human rights.
