New look, new standards

To celebrate the re-launch of the former coffee shop of Taj Samudra as “Latitude” an all- day dining restaurant, Saurabh Ratan, the General Manager of Taj Samudra, Colombo invited a select gathering of clients, guests and friends over two days to savour the new concept of dining at their newest restaurant.

The stunning transformation of the former coffee shop saw it changed beyond recognition. Giving it a completely contemporary and trendy look, with glass, picture windows, high ceilings, art décor furniture, open wine cellar, and a chef’s counter where the guests could have a wide selection of food to choose from and the food cooked then and there – it certainly matches international standards.

Since only a handful of guests were invited each day, the General Manager and staff had time to attend to each guest. The evening began with cocktails by the pool, followed by dinner at the “Latitude”. It was an evening of subdued elegance!
