E-WIS brings Callatay and Wouters software to Sri Lanka

E-W Information Systems (E-WIS) has announced the launch of world-renowned Callatay and Wouters financial software in Sri Lanka, a value addition for the financial service industry. E-WIS said it will function as solutions integrator to Callatay and Wouters solutions, which are being introduced to Sri Lanka as part of the company’s ongoing strategy to enter emerging markets in Asia.

“Sri Lanka’s market was chosen due to its relative maturity in terms of banking and financial service offerings and the need for IT solutions that support these offerings” said Anselm de Souza, Managing Director, Asia Pacific for C&W in a media statement. “The banking sector is of supreme significance in growing economies such as that of Sri Lanka, and the right IT solution enables banks to turn their IT Systems into a key differentiator – enhancing and maximizing their strategies by reaping the right benefits of technology”.

The core banking solution is at the very heart of a bank and it is essential that this system deliver reliability, efficiency and overall flexibility. Increasingly these systems are also required to run 24x7 to support Internet banking and real time transactions via ATM, Internet, phones and debit cards.

Callatay and Wouters is a global player in IT solutions for banking and finance. It offers two complementary services – editing of banking software packages, implementation and development projects.
