Thank you kind lady

I am a pensioner aged 82 years, feeble and unable to get about. I had many problems with the Maharagama Secretariat and many letters were written, followed by telephone calls, but my pension problem remained unsettled.

Finally, I decided to visit the Secretariat with the assistance of two of my sons, and met the Accountant who happened to be a lady. I was surprised that she attended to my problem in a humane manner. She took nearly an hour to settle my problem.

The Accountant of the Maharagama Secretariat deserves the appreciation of people in my plight. She went to the extent of telephoning the Pensions Department and sorted out my problems. She also followed it up with a call.

Now my problems should be solved with the concurrence of the Department of Pensions and the problem with my revised pension too should be solved soon.

It is hoped that other officials will follow her example.
