Sirasa Ekka Awurudhu

Celebrating Sinhala Tamil New Year, Sirasa TV has lined up a series of programmes including dramas, dances, traditional activities, musical programmes and movies to be telecast on April 14.

The locations for the programmes are the scenic locations by the Kalu Ganga, Galpatha, Diyagama, Kalutara to Horana road.

The live telecast from 6 am to 10 am will focus on 'Nonagathaya' and children's traditional games. From 10 am to 12 noon the children's film 'Mouse Hunt' dubbed in Sinhala will be telecast. Traditions connected to auspicious times like 'Lipa Gini melaweema', 'Ahara Anubhawaya' and 'Wedha Elleema' and outdoor traditional games such as swimming etc. will be telecast till 3.15 pm.

Latest Hindi movie 'Chupke Chupke' will be telecast from 3.15 pm to 6 pm. Comedy, folk drama, dance and songs organised at the locations by the Kalu Ganga will go on air till 7 pm.

Musical programme with popular artistes including Rohana Beddage and many others including Superstars at the location will be telecast from 10.30 pm to 12 pm.
