Easter harmony

Raising their young voices in harmonious tunes of praise and worship, the St. Peter's College choir, comprising students ranging in age from seven to 19, under the guidance of Haasinee Halpe Andree will present 'Let Redemption Come' on Sunday, April 8 at 7 p.m at the Chapel of St. Peter's College, Colombo 4.

'Let Redemption Come,' the annual feast of Easter choral music, which announces the joyous tidings of the resurrection of Jesus Christ will feature the Peterite Chorale singing alongside the choir of St. Peter's College.

The Peterite Choir, the first school choir ever to be formed in Sri Lanka, is well-known for its high standard of professional choral singing and discipline. They were responsible for starting the tradition of the Easter programme, which has now become a part of the annual calendar not only of the Peterites but also of other school choirs. The Peterite Choir has performed at the XV Asian SKAL Assembly (1986), the Convention of Lions International (1986) and many choral festivals. They have been featured annually on SLBC's Christmas programmes.
