Hulangamuwa steals the show

Young Trinitian Migara Hulangamuwa stole the show on the final day of the National Pentathalon Championships organized by NAASU, which concluded at the Sugathdasa Stadium Pool yesterday. Competing in the under 12 category, Hulangamuwa won four and finished second in the five events he competed in. More significantly this youngster broke two records. In the 50 metres butterfly Hulangamuwa finished with a time of 34.26 breaking the previous best set by Ali Isphanai of the Asian International School whose timing was 34.61

In the 200 ,metres Individual Medley, Hulangamuwa ended the race with a time of 2.50.29. Thus he broke the record set nine years ago by Royalist M. L. Fahim whose timing was 2.51.77. And obviously Hulangamuwa was adjudged the best in his category
