EFC’s Disability Network holds fifth job fair in Kandy

The Disability Network of the EFC in collaboration with Motivational Charitable Trust will hold its fifth job fair for those who are differently abled on March 29 at the Earls Regency Hotel, Kandy commencing at 9.00 a.m. The Network has conducted four job fairs previously in Colombo and provided job opportunities/training to over 200 disabled persons.

This is the first time the Network has decided to have its job fair out of Colombo so that it would enable both employers and disabled persons in other regions to participate in it. This job fair will also enable employers to interview over 50 disabled persons who possess educational as well as vocational skills, according to an EFC press release.

The job fair is funded by USAID through Motivational Charitable Trust. The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Investment have also assisted in this project by identifying interested employers to participate at the Job Fair. EFC said any employer interested in participating at this job fair can contact the EFC or the Motivational Charitable Trust on or before March 26 through: Ms Megamali Aluwihare - megamalia@empfed.lk, Ms Roshni de Silva - roshni@motivation.lk.org or Niroshan Weeratunga - niroshan@motivation.lk.org
