Lankan architect wins top UK Award

The Royal Institue of British Architects has awarded the prestigious Manser Medal for 2006 to Sasha Bhavan, daughter of Jaffna-born Nadarajah Bhavan and her husband Simon Knox. Bhavan and Knox have been previously been recognized for their creativity and designs by winning several other awards in the field of architecture.

Their projects include designing private homes, heritage and commercial sites as well as bridges. KnoxBhavan Architects, their design company was founded in 1992 by Knox who was subsequently joined by Bhavan in 1996.
