Two Patana rugby legends in exhibition match

Hisham Abdeen and Commodore H..K. Sisira (Rtd) two outstanding rugby players of yester-year will lead teams in an exhibition 5-a-side indoor touch rugby match on Feb. 24, at the Austasia Sports and Leisure Club, at Talawatugoda.

This match will be played prior to the finals of the second annual 5-a-side touch rugby tournament organized by the Austasia Sports Club.

According to its president Udaya Yatawara some outstanding past national players will add much interest to the new formula of leisure rugby. It has added much fun and excitement to this leisure sport.

Players of the caliber of Saman Jayasinghe, Chaminda Rupasinghe, Royce Samaratunga, Asanga Seneviratne, Hemantha Yatawara, Wimal Epparachchi, Anura Uduwelagedera etc. will take part.

16 teams (men) and 4 (women) will play. Entries close today (Sunday Feb. 18), with the secretary Austasia Sports and Leisure Club.
