Goodwood Lanka to produce high quality furniture

A factory to produce furniture equal in quality to the world’s finest brands was established at a cost of Rs.127 million under the Nipayum Sri Lanka-300 Enterprises Programme of Mahinda Chinthana at Panadura, recently.

This new factory will generate direct employment to 100 people in the area.Goodwood Lanka, a state-of-the–art woodworking factory complex which will benefit Sri Lanka architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Building Contractors and building owners.

The company uses the very latest plant and machinery and follows the highest standards of craftsmanship to fill the current void of high-quality furniture at cost-efficient pricing.

Goodwood Lanka is equipped with all facilities and will utilise local talent and know how along with technology to bring out products to match foreign brands.

The company’s objective is to produce furniture equal in quality to that of world brands for export and also to meet local upmarket requirements. Goodwood Lanka is planning to export their products to countries such as the USA, the UK, Australia and other markets. Uplifting local craftsmanship so that it is able to compete with imported products is another objectives of the company.The new facility is part of the Nipayum Sri Lanka Programme, which encourages the establishment of enterprises in areas that are economically disadvantaged.
