Once Upon a Time

Two new stories in the series 'Once Upon a Time' by J.B. Disanayaka, are now available in bookshops. The new folk tales are 'How Kapuruhamy went to Puttalam' and 'The Three Riddles of the King.' They are available in both English and Sinhala.

'Once Upon a Time' is a series of booklets for children aimed to make them enjoy some of the popular Sri Lankan folk tales. These folk tales tell us not only about the creative genius of the rural folk but also about their way of life in the traditional village. Simply written especially for children and attractively illustrated, the stories make reading a pleasure.
