Suntel-HDFC in CDMA deal

Suntel has teamed up with HDFC to offer a convenient and affordable option for those building their dream homes to also own a latest CDMA telephone.

As part of an agreement signed recently, HDFC Home Loan customers can apply to purchase a Suntel Chat CDMA phone, under an affordable easy payments scheme called HDFC “Sirisara” lifestyle homeloan, HDFC said in a press release.

The unique factor about this partnership is that the monthly installment of the phone can be added on to the monthly HDFC loan installment, with the installment being as low as Rs 158 per month.

The offer is designed to lessen the burden on those building new homes - thereby lowering the potential impact of purchasing a brand new phone.

Customers have the option of selecting a repayment period that varies from five to fifteen years.

It said HDFC is a unique example of a specialized bank which has demonstrated the viability of market oriented housing finance in a developing country. It has played a frontline role in providing loans for housing purposes with a low interest rate and a long repayment period.
