Good move

I am holidaying in Sri Lanka at the moment. A friend of mine wanted me to buy cigarettes from the Katunayake Air Port duty free shop. Upon arrival I walked into a duty free shop, bought some alcoholic drinks and was looking for cigarettes but couldn’t find any.

Upon inquiries I was told that the sale of cigarettes is banned at the duty free shop. This seems to be a good move that could contribute to the effective no-smoking policy of the Government.

I also noted some restaurants displaying notices - 'No cigarettes’. If throwing garbage, haphazardly and littering public places could also be tackled this way then the country could be a better place to live in.
