Central Finance to launch ATM facility

Central Finance Co Ltd, the Kandy-based finance company group, is launching the CF Automated Teller Machines (CF-ATM) network from December 5.

The launch day coincides with the historic date when Central Finance Co Ltd was launched in Kandy on 5th December 1957.

The CF - ATM will initially complement its successful savings schemes at its head office in Kandy and branch offices at Colombo, Kurunegala, Negombo and Nugegoda. CF-ATM's are linked on-line to access any time, 365 days, a company statement said.

It said negotiations are underway by the Central Finance with a leading Commercial Bank to link its islandwide savings operation with a network in furthering its facilities. This will enable the customers to access their savings accounts from anywhere in the country.

The unique features of the CF ATM are Fast Cash – allows the card holder to withdraw from the primary savings accounts; Balance Inquiries: allows the card holder to check balances of accounts in the savings account and temporary refunds; PIN change and language change and Fund Transfers.

The company said the last financial year was an eventful one with the deposit base exceeding Rs 10.4 billion. The gross deposit mobilization amounted to Rs 13.1 billion out of which new deposits and current capitalization were Rs 2.6 billion.
