Bototage guides Sri Rahula to victory

A superb all round performance by Madushan Bototage (8 wickets and 61 not out) enabled Sri Rahula Katugastota to defeat Carey by four wickets in a low-scoring at the Railway grounds.

Bototage bowled with pace and fire to take 5-30 in 12 overs. Then when his team was in trouble chasing 122, he made an aggressive 61 n.o., (4x7, 6x2) . For Carey, left arm spinner Rizvi had a match bag of 7 wickets.

Carey 137 in 49.3 overs (Adil Hafeez 43 n.o., H. Gunawardena 39. M. Bototage 3-30, C. Kodituwakku 3-26, Malith Bandara 3-18) and 125 in 38.3 overs (A. Sawal 21, K. Chamara 2, M. Bandara 29, A. Hafeez 24, M. Bototage 5-30, C. Kodituwakku 2-33, R. Udayakumara 3-39).
