Dr Perera, Managing Director of Nutri Life Centre

Dr Perera, Managing Director of Nutri Life Centre - the first and only professional Nutrition & Lifestyle Consultation Centre in Colombo, said that most Sri Lankans are unaware that according to western medicine and nutrition, diet and lifestyle modification is the first line of treatment for preventing and managing such chronic diseases.

“Unfortunately many unwittingly, resort to unnecessary over medication,” she said.

The professionally qualified Nutritionist with a doctorate in Human Nutrition from the University of London and an Alumnus of the prestigious, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine will be making a presentation on “Holistic Lifestyle for Health, Happiness & Longevity” at this Saturday’s Feng Shui seminar where the main resource person is Feng Shui expert S.B.S. Surendran from India at the Trans Asia Hotel.

Dr Perera is the only ‘practicing’ nutritionist in Sri Lanka with a doctorate in Human Nutrition and also qualified in Dietetics, but she is also a firm believer that western medicine should be complemented with certain time tested, eastern traditional practices such as Reiki, meditation, yoga etc to achieve a balanced lifestyle.
