| Lankan cricket
fest in USA
The Inaugural East Coast Cricket Festival organized
by the Ananda College Old Boys' Association - East Coast Chapter
has become the most look forward to Sri Lankan community event in
the East Coast of USA.
The Cricket Festival is a unique event bringing together the Alumni
of Sri Lankan Schools in a spirit of fellowship and sportsmanship.
The Cricket Festival will be held on Sunday the 18th of June 2006
at the Tall Timbers Park, Monmouth Junction, NJ from 9.00 a.m. to
6.00 p.m.
The teams invited in this Inaugural year are the Old Boys of Nalanda
College, Royal College, Trinity College, St. Thomas' College and
a Combined Schools Team. The Old Girls of Visakha Vidyalaya will
be special invitees for the event.
The uniqueness of the Cricket Festival is that each team must have
at least two players over 30 years of age and two players over 40
years of age. The winners will be presented with the Col. Henry
Steel Olcott Challenge Cup.
