By Susitha R. Fernando
2006 Oscar winning film 'Crash' will be landed in Sri Lanka for the festive season. While three Academy Award nominated movie 'Munich' is scheduled to be released at the Majestic Cinema, Colombo from April 7, 'Crash' will hit the Colombo screen soon after 'Munich'.

Three Oscar award winner Paul Haggis' 'Crash' will follow Steven Spielberg's 'Munich' released by the Cinema Entertainment Pvt. Ltd (CEL).

"Munich," a historical thriller set in the aftermath of the 1972 massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games was nominated for five Academy Awards at 2006 Oscars including Best Film and the Best Director. The film was also nominated for the Best Director and Best Screen play at Golden Globe 2006. The film will be shown at the Majestic Cinema at 10.30am, 3.00 pm and 7.00pm.

A provocative, unflinching look at the complexities of racial conflict in America, Crash is that rare cinematic event - a film that challenges audiences to question their own prejudices. Diving headlong into the diverse melting pot of post-9/11 Los Angeles, this compelling urban drama tracks the volatile intersections of a multi-ethnic cast, examining fear and bigotry from multiple perspectives as the characters careen in and out of one another's lives.

For two days in Los Angeles, a racially and economically diverse group of people pursue lives that collide with one another in unexpected ways. These interactions are always interesting, and sometimes quite unsettling. The film explores and challenges your ability to judge books by their covers. The film stars Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, Brendan Fraser, Jason Isaacs and Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges.
