‘Kool’ Valentine

Kool & The Gang, the group with a sound that has influenced the music of three generations and has sold over 70 million albums worldwide, will be in town to celebrate the 'Valentine 2006' in grand scale.

'Kool and the Gang' and 'Earth Wind & Fire Experience' featuring The Al Mckay Alistar' will come alive on same stage at CR & FC on February, 14.
Songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness and Open Sesame have won two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards for Kool and The Gang. They bagged 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten hits, and 31 Gold and Platinum albums. 'Get Down on it', 'Take my Heart', 'Lets Go Dancing Tonight', 'Ladies Night', 'Fresh and Stone' are some of the most popular hits in Sri Lanka. Kool & The Gang have performed continuously for the past 30 years, longer than any R&B group in history.

Kool & The Gang have already established themselves as pioneers of R&B music. On the eve of the new millennium they are embarking on a new venture, a music label. In 1998, the corporate members of Kook & The Gang formed KTFA Entertainment, Inc. They released their new single in 1999.
Kool & The Gang continues to perform to packed audience of new and old fans around the world.

Earth Wind & Fire - has touched the hearts of two generations with their incredible music. Al McKay had been an instrumental force behind the music of Earth Wind & Fire from the beginning (after his departure - Earth Wind & Fire landed only one more hit).

The Al McKay Allstars bring back to audiences across the world the REAL musical experience of Earth Wind & Fire. The group, which contains some of the world's top musicians, has joined Al McKay in presenting and further developing the true musical heritage of Earth Wind & Fire.

Their new album, Al Dente, features a sparkling selection of hits from Al's long running tenure as a member of the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire, including sterling renditions of such chart toppers as "Getaway," "Evil," "Love's Holiday," "Singasong," "Fantasy" and "September."

Al Dente also includes a sampling of some of the artistes newest original tracks. On selections such as "Make It Happen," "It's Only Love," "Who Am I?," "My Heart Is Wide Open," "You Owe It All to Love" and "Do You Want It?"
Earth Wind & Fire Experience featuring the Al McKay Allstars comprises 13 top Musicians, Sri Lanka's very own Hussain Jiffry, an ex-Amazing Grace, is a member of 'Earth Wind & Fire Experience'.
