Isipathana Juniors all-the-way
After having won three important tournaments this year, the under 14 Isipathana lads made it a clean sweep for this season by winning the prestigious All Island Rugby Trophy for the year 2005.

All the leading rugby-playing schools in the country participated in this tournament, which was organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association, over a period of two days at Royal College grounds.

This is the second consecutive year they have won this tournament. The finals against St.Peter’s produced excellent rugby with no scoring in the first half. In the second half, the Patans scored a try to seal the victory.
It is creditable to note that Isipathana under 14 did not lose even a single match during this season on their march towards four important titles.
In this tournament, they did not allow the opposition teams to cross their try line even once.

In the Finals they beat St.Peters 7-0.
St. Peter’s advanced to the finals by beating S. Thomas’, Mt. Lavinia in the quarter final and Royal College, Colombo in the semi final.

The Plate Championship was won by Science College and the Bowl Championship was won by Central College Piliyandala.
