Mahila Samiti hosts women’s confab
The Lanka Mahila Samiti will host the ‘Central & South Asia Area Conference of the Associated Country Woman of the World’ at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, 100, Independence Square, Colombo 7 from tomorrow until Wednesday.

The inauguration on Monday will be followed by a two-day workshop.
Delegates from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Malaysia will participate.

The Mahila Samiti is one of the oldest women’s organizations in Sri Lanka and has worked for the past 74 years for the upliftment of rural communities in the island.
