Kadir statue in Colombo
A Cabinet sub-committee has been appointed to work out the details to erect a statue of late Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar in Colombo in recognition of his service to the nation, Cabinet spokesman Nimal Siripala De Silva said.

He also said the Sri Lanka Institute of International Relations will be renamed as the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations in memory of the late minister.

The sub-committee comprises Ministers Mangala Samaraweera, Dinesh Gunawardena and Ferial Ashraff.
