Child deities descend to earth
Children are the most treasured asset in any society. Adults seem to be not interested in giving them the necessary protection and care, thus gods come down to look after them.

A fantasy story ‘Dewa Daruwo’ revolving round three young princes who come down from heaven to protect children is now telecast every Wednesday at 8.35 pm on Rupavahini channel. To the script of K. B. Herath the miniplay is directed by Sumana Wanninayake.

Soma, Mega and Suriya are three young divine children who come to the human world to find out about the condition of children. In their search they find that the world is too cruel a place for children.

What they find in this world is not only bad for divine creatures but also for humans. People are not human anymore. Thus they disguise themselves as children and enter the world of children as well as that of adults. Being children they find it easy to get closer to the children's world.

They face various trials and hardships that the children undergo and finally they decide to dispense judgment on those who harass the children. The punishments given are also interesting and they are to rehabilitate and to make society better.

Each of the twenty episodes discusses burning questions affecting this society. Janal Premalal, Anton Jude, Priya Ranasinghe, Ramya Wanigasekara, Sahan Ranwela, Suneetha Wimalaweera, Bandula Vithanage and Gamini Hettiarachchi are in forefront of the camera.

With Pujitha Kanchana Ameratunga as editor, Kapila Boliyadda and Suminda Amerasinghe as directors of camera and musical score is by Jayanath Warakagoda. Dewa Daruwo is produced by Shirani Paranagama.
