Making many lives merry
The Undergraduates of APIIT (Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology) will be staging a live concert ‘TEEN-AID’, a charity concert for the benefit of Ma-Sevena Home, at the Viharamahadevi Open Air-Theatre on July 20, from 7.30 p.m. onwards.

The proceeds of this show will be offered to ‘Ma-Sevana’ Home which is a welfare arm of Sarvodaya Shramadana Sangamya, which implements rehabilitation projects for destitute children in 12 children homes. Ma-Sevana currently has 18 young mothers and 11 babies under its wings.

APIIT Lanka is established as a premium tertiary education institute for computer education, IT and Business Studies. Organisers of this charity project ‘The students of batch DFO491BA’ of APIIT has been formed to enhance and harness latent talent for balanced education.

Many of APIIT’s other student bodies have been instrumental in carrying out several social-welfare projects such as ‘Hope Rocks I and II’, rock concerts in aid of the HOPE Cancer Hospital, ‘Light A Candle For Those In Need’ and a youth walk titled ‘One Nation One Sri Lanka’, for the tsunami displaced.
An exciting line up of bands and stars which include Iraj and Ill-Noize Crew, Bathiya and Santhush, Soul-Skinner, Whirlwind, Revelation and Tabernacle and Chathurika Fernando will enthrall the audience.

Chathurika Fernando who is a student of APIIT presently is the brains behind the project and is backed up by Azhar, Farah, Mudassa, Zeyanna, Hamath, Riyaz, Shzna, Nimendra, Nadushi, Ashwini, Asela, Shean and rest of the batch.
Tickets priced at Rs. 200 will be available at APIIT City Campus, Union Place, Colombo 02 and at the gate.
