Kalkudah policeman killed
A police constable was shot dead allegedly by an LTTE pistol gang member outside the Kalkudah police station yesterday morning.

Constable M.S. Roshan was killed while he was talking to a Tamil youth at the main gate, police said. They said this youth whom the constable had known for some time eventually became his killer.

Earlier this week three soldiers assigned for intelligence work in the Batticaloa area were also gunned down by the LTTE.
