Golden oldies sing-along at Mount
"Golden Oldies Sing-Along" will come alive on Saturday, June 11 at Berjaya Mount Royal Hotel, Mt. Lavinia at 7.30 pm. This 2 1/2 hour programme will feature the vintage orchestra comprising a galaxy of well known professional musicians and singers with a wealth of experience in the sing-along trade urging the participants to sing to their heart’s content.

The musicians featured in the vintage orchestra for the sing- along are - composer and singer Priya Peiris (Of La Bambas and Cock-A-Doodle Doo fame), Noel Ranasinghe (of La Ceylonians - on Banjo, Guitar and Harmonica), Rolinson Ferdinando (of la Bambas - on Acoustic Guitar, Hawaiin Guitar and Keyboard), Pimal Fernando (Golden Chimes and one-man orchestra - on Keyboard), Lincoln De Silva (Leader of 'Super Pink & Purple'), Erinton Perera (of La Bambas - on Guitar and Percussion), Bernard Fernando (Acoustic Drums) amongst others.

"An assortment of soul-stirring English and Sinhala vintage favourites such as 'Clementine', 'Red River Valley', 'South of the Border', 'Daisy' 'Galway Bay', 'Que Sera', 'Pin Sidu Wenne', 'Suwanda Rosa', 'Handa Pane', 'Olu Pipila' etc. have been included in the programme," Sarath Fernando of The Management Club (T.M.C.), the organizers, told the T.V. Times .

An attractive song book containing the lyrics of over fifty songs will be given to each ticket holder at the gate. Tickets could be now purchased at Rs. 400/= (inclusive of a welcome drink & song book) from The Management Club, Mt. Lavinia & The Management Club, Galle Face Hotel.

Food and beverage stalls will be open during the show for the benefit of the participants.
