4x4 Nuwara Eliya Lake Cross
Indika Sanjaya wins first round

Thrills and spills were plenty as the first ever 4 x 4 Lake Cross beside Lake Gregory in Nuwara Eliya yesterday. Indika Sanjaya driving with great skill bagged the event with a time of 2.07.30 seconds.

The drivers were judged on the points they accumulated on the unaccustomed route. Of the 25 participants, ten qualified for the final to be worked off today. Indika Sanjaya accompanied by his wife Ishari Anurangani was the winner all the way. He sped off in style in his Land Rover. In second place was Senani Pilapitiya along with Jayantha Wijeratne with a time of 2.36.19 seconds followed by Themiya Abeywickrema and his son Pansilu Abeywickrema who returned a time of 2.42.08 seconds.
