CIMA Pinnacle Awards
Kishu Gomes picked CIMA Business Leader of the Year Kishu Gomes, the dynamic CEO at Caltex Lubricant who has collected a number of awards on the way to the top, walked away with yet another accolade last week - CIMA Janashakthi Pinnacle Business Leader of the Year Award in the large-scale category.

The CIMA/Janashakthi Insurance "Pinnacle Awards' was rewarding the achievements of those who most embody the best in leadership, management, team work and business.

At the event held for the second consecutive year Sanjaya Wickramachchi Mohottala of Unilevers secured the 'Young CIMA Star of the Year' gold award. Jagath Anil Peiris of Royal Fernwood Porcelain Ltd., secured the Business Leader of the Year- medium-scale while a special Merit Award in the same category was awarded to Silicone Coatings' Raja Gnanasiri Hewabowala. Laxmi Mearah Alwis Wanigasekera of Slimline won the Young CIMA Star of the Year, Silver Award.

Deputy General Manager, Seylan Bank, Ajantha Madurapperuma secured the CIMA Business Manager of the Year gold award, followed by Suren Fernando, Director Finance and Management Control, MAS Holdings winning the silver. Head Group Information and Communication Technology, Brandix Lanka, J.T. Szoumyraj took the bronze. MAS Holdings/ Sara Lee Courtaulds Joint Ventures won the 'Management Team of the year' award with Caltex Lubricants Lanka and Lanka Bell sharing the merit award.

INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, one of the world's largest top-tier graduate business schools, will enrol Gomes, who will have the opportunity to gain from the inspired teachings of the academic frontrunner in management studies. The Young CIMA Star, Mohottala will be granted a scholarship to the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.
