‘Punsanda Paaya’ launched
The 11th A.G.M. of Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) will be held at Sri Pali Hall, Moratuwa on Sunday March 20. MAF will select new office bearers for year 2005/2006 at thia AGM.

Present Executive team comprises Sarath Goonawardene - President Saman de Silva, Brian Cooray (Vice Presidents), Thilak de Mel(Secretary), Nalaka de Soysa (Asst. Secretary), Lincoln de Silva (Treasurer) and Rita Bertus (Asst. Treasurer).

Asoka Peiris, Lankika Perera 97/98 Thilak Perera. 99/2000 (Founder of M.A.F) Nihal Fernando 2001/2002, Sarath Goonawardena 2003/2004 are the past Presidents of the Forum.

Meanwhile, MAF will be launching their audio CD “Punsanda Paaya” on the same day at Sripali Hall, Moratuwa at 5.00 pm befor the AGM. “Punsanda Paaya” CD comprises 19 original songs from M.A.F Popular artistes. Songs are composed by Sarath Goonawardena, Thilak de Mel, Nihal Fernando Rolinson Ferdinando, Lucky Deva and Jagath Devapriya.

Music for the songs provided by Sarath Goonawardena, Rolinson Ferdinando, Nalaka de Soysa and Nihal Fernando. “Sri Dalada” sung by Saman de Silva and Rita Bertus, “Mother” Sung by Christopher Paul. “Kurulujoduwa” by Rolinson Ferdinando and “Namal Kumari” by Sarath Goonawardene are some of the popular hits.

“Dheewarayo” by Nalaka Soysa and “Mawage Unusuma” by Thilak de Mel are most appropriate for this era. “Punsanda Paaya Moratuwa Dilenna” sung by all artistes and “Sribara Moratugame” composed by Priya Peris and C.L. Fonseka, sung by 44 artistes are also included in the album.
