‘Super Chimes’ at Molly’s
Annesley and Super Chimes Go Sri Lankan at Molly’s ‘Annesley and the Super Chimes’, the latest band in Sri Lankan music scene will perform at the Irish Pub Molly’s on Thursdays for Sri Lankan Nite.

with all Night Clubs, Pubs dishing out hot Western music every night, Molly’s decided to reserve one night (Thursday) for only Sri Lankan music. Lovers of Sri Lankan music rarely get an opportunity to listen to Sinhala music at pubs and night clubs in Sri Lanka.

The management of Molly’s have taken this bold step forward to promote Sinhala music at their pub on Thursdays. Annesley Malawana who counts several years of experience as a singer, band leader and show-man, leads the super chimes.

“The response to our music is overwhelming, we had a full house on the opening day. There was a mixed audience both young and old who thoroughly enjoyed the evening by joining us in the singing”, said Annesley. The band has a wide selection of songs from Moonstones to Super Golden Chimes and they sing the hit songs of 60’s & 70’s.

The Super Chimes comprises of Annesley, Amal Silva on bass, Jagath Kulasinghe on drums, Dimantha Seneviratne on key boards, Channa Athalage on lead guitar and Mahesh Silva on key boards.
